Is it a k series engine?? 1.6 or 1.8? If it is you may be you head gasket.It is a very common problem with the freelander. Good luck.Get it fixed and move it on out of your life as she will keep costing you long term.Even with the new style head gasket you may very well have the same problem again...soon. Good Luck
