Default tips for the clutch slippage please

I just picked up my series 3..

The clutch is supposed to have less than 10k mi on it. But it slips horribly.
Possibly contaminated.. It sat for a long time.. about a year and a half... in a very wet area.. But I'm not ruling out oil. Any suggestions other than popping out the tranny at which point replacement would be the smart bet anyway..

Any inspection cover on these things?

Any tips appreciated.
