What are you looking to convert. If it is a classic, you will get away with a single point conventional LPG system. If it is a P38 or later, or Disco 2, you really need to look at LPG injection systems.
In the states your LPG is 100% propane and should get better power and economy compared to the shitty 50% propane/50% butane mix we have here. But out of a Rangie classic you would expect to use about 20 litres to do 100kms. Better than this on a trip, worse around town.
Impco is a US supplier of LPG conversion equipment. Their equipment is reasonably good. So they might be a good starting point for you.
