It is good to see that you are a person that sticks to your views.
When you have nothing to support your views you just start name calling.
The topic was what bull bar should the person buy. If it is going on an airbag fitted vehicle, the compatibility to the safety features of the vehicle is an important consideration. Particularly as the safety and handling functions become more sophisticated.
The statistics were simply posted to show people that you are actually more vulnerable in your "Tank" than a passenger car. Therefore safety should at least enter into the pros and cons for the bull bar you are considering.
It is the die hard old school people, like yourself, that still hold onto ideas that were applicable 30 years ago. Unfortunately for you, the world moves on.
Go on thinking that you are safe in your "Tank" and how the more steel you add the safer you will be.
I have not attempted to recommend any particular brand. ARB has only been used as an example of an airbag compatible bar, there are many others out there. I have only attempted to highlight an area that had not been mentioned in this discussion prior to me raising it. Most of the other considerations had previously been mentioned and I do not intend to convey that the safety functions of the bar should be the only consideration in your purchase.
