Apparently the NH State highway department thought that a working electrical item on a RRC had to be stopped. While my wife was driving north on route 3 one of there awesome plow trucks decided to send ice and snow over the side of the overpass. Which of course struck the range rover square in the windshield putting about 20 spider cracks all up and down the windshield. I of course have liability only.

I had her file a police report for the damage and I'm waiting for the Highway dept. to return my call to see if they will do anything about it.
If I go with the standard windshield i.e. no defrost it'll run me $330 I'm awaiting a return call for how much with the defrost
Here's a couple of pics. Looking at it in person I'm amazed it didn't let go and come into my wife's lap at 55 mph. On the inside you can see where the lamination is separated from the glass. In the end I'm glad she and my daughter weren't injured.
Has anyone had to try a deal with something similiar with the highway dept?
