Dude you need to have a lawyer friend send them a letter. You don't have to sue them but the danger alone to your wife and daughter should warrant them replacing your windshield YOUR way. Don't roll over, that's what they want you to do. I work for the state of Oklahoma and they are SLOWWWWWWW at responding because who ever takes the call has to ask their supervisor what to do. The supervisor sends a memo to the supervisor in another section, etc... FINALLY it will get to their LEGAL department. Where only God know how long it will sit on someone's desk.
You need to grease the wheels with a firmly worded letter from a lawyer.
I had the City of Norman scratch up my Rangie. I called them that day and filled a complaint. Then I called my City Councilman, who happened to live in my neighborhood. I got reimbursed fully, even for the time off from work to get it fixed.
If you haven't called your legislator yet, you need to. They should be more careful about that sort of stuff, JUST THINK THAT COULD HAVE BEEN A SCHOOL BUS FULL OF HONOR STUDENTS!!!! I'm sure you get where I'm going with this.
HEy! Has your local TV Channel seen the windshield?
