Hi all, Petrus from Pretoria, South Africa. Owner of various LR models:
1. 1965 FC fitted with S3 gear and transfer box powered with 2.8 Nissan 6cyl. 2. 1965 FC chassis fitted with S3 drivetrain and HC pick-up body, also powered with 2.8 Nissan petrol engine, in the process of becoming a replica of the SADF special forces vehicle used in Angola.
3. Hybrid RR 1989/LR S3 body. Here I removed the RR body after the Scouts rolled it, shortened the chassis, rebuilt the wiring, foot controls and instrument panel onto a S3 bulkhead, and fitted a S3 SWB body.
4. Defender 110 csw 1989 3.5 V8 gas gusler. Soon to be fitted with a turbo diesel engine and auto box. Has upgraded suspention.
5. Range Rover P38 1998, a beauty!!
My love-hate relationship with the green oval started in 1977 in Rhodesia. It was the only affordable 4X4 available.
