I'm gonna take a shot and say it may be a relay BECAUSE the seats are set up to be adjusted with the door open to adjust between the two preset memories settings, so when the door closes, a relay would switch to disable the seats until the vehicle was on or running. But I'm not really sure if there is even a relay for this purpose.

So nothing happens at all, even while running??? I know mine won't work with the door closed and the vehicle is off, but as soon as it's running, or the key is in the on position, everything works.

With as many flukes with the electrical system, I need to ask: Is there any reason why you can't adjust the seat while the door is open and live with the "No Power Seats While Door Closed" dilemma???
