As stated above the car will run on regular. It will not kill it. It will not damage it. It will retard the timing to prevent preignition (self preservation). There is however a cost associated with running regular. First, the engine will produce less power. This is not as important on the v8 lr3, as opposed to the Series II disco's with there 180hp engines. Where you will notice the biggest difference is in the fuel economy dept. Mine went from a solid 16.5 average on regular to 17.6 just by running premium. This pretty much makes the price difference a wash. Pump in the good stuff & smile, Your car will.
