Is it really the switch that's just clicking? If so, just pull it out and jumper the wires to see if the sunroof works, that will tell you if it's the switch.
There are 3 electrical failure points, the swtich, the ECU, and the motor. The ECU died on my front one in the open position, so I just snipped the wires between it and the motor and applied 12v and got it closed. I bought a manual sunroof to replace it with.
