Default Brake change 97 vs 00

Quick question. I had a 97 Disco a long time ago. I remember the brakes being very easy to change. I think it took my longer to jack the Disco up and remove the wheels than it did to change the brakes. I now have a 00 Range Rover 4.6. Are the brakes the same? If not, are they still fairly simple to do?

Last question. I remember at that time using after market brakes and all but the Lockheed sucked! They would squeak very badly. I ended up just going back to Land Rover and getting ripped off on the price to not have to deal with the squeaking. Is the situation still the same or have some aftermarket companies figured out how to make no squeaking brake pads?

Thank you
