Lets face it, the Range Rover Sport/Range Rover HSE is not marketed to the off road crowd...and for what its worth, neither was the Classic in North America in its day. It's only been second and third hand owners who fully tap what a Classic or Disco has to offer off road. In the UK/Europe different story...Land Rovers there are much more utilitarian...less fluff...at least up until the late 80's...and that's where their off-road prowess was made legend.
I mean really, if you went out and dropped $80k on a Range Rover HSE you're not really gonna go out and wheel it thru the sticks, picking up pinstripes and rock dings. Now, go buy a used 2003/04 RR for $25k...you might not be so worried about it. Given a little time I bet you will see the after-market begin to make more trail worthy items for them...especially if enthusiasts start to use them to their full potential. Yes, they have an over abundance of electric gizmos...but compared to other domestic vehicles, so did the Classic RR when it hit the US
