Default Newbie that posted a few weeks ago..ended up with an '07 LR3

Hey I posted a few weeks ago. We were considering an '05 LR3 and looked hard but couldn't find the deal we wanted...then found an '07 LR3 in Charlotte with about 9k miles...dealer loaner. They had it about wholesale price to move it. After two days of negotiating on the phone, the deal was done yesterday and i drove it back to Raleigh. So far so good! Pretty impressive vehicle!

I'm taking my time trying to learn the features and take advantage of them.

A few questions...(and I've emailed the salesman these also)..

I watched the DVD that shows a woman lowering the middle seat then pulling the strap underneath and lowering again to deck height. She appears to do this with ease. I performed the same steps after my daugher was unable to lower the seat to deck level..and I have to say..it took considerable heft to get the seat down. I havn't even tried to get this back up to normal position. Am I doing something wrong? Does it need a shot of WD40 somewhere? Hmm..

Also, I can't seem to get the fog lamps to come on. I'm going per the manual and I'm not in auto mode. Any tricks to this? A fuse blown?

These two are my only 'sqawks' so far. I'm a pilot and really get into all the details and nuance of such things. This is fun!

Thanks in advance for any advice related to my two questions..or in general!

Bob
