it depends on what kind of terrain you be trying to overcome. im not from colorado but there a few guys here who could give you some better info.
though,
recovery gear would be something you would regret leaving behind. a strong tow-strap and some recovery points. a shackle & receiver combo. water, food,

an air compressor to manage the the tires. any tools or spare parts that you could dig up just in case something bad happens....

discomike would know exactly what..
