I had to prove to the dealer that I was the owner and they provided me with the radio code and it worked. I did pull a Car Fax report for $30.00 before I bought it and knew what dealer had been used in it's life. It's a good report to have if you want a history of your car. I now have have 2 '96 Discos, but will sell one later.
