There must be different manuals out there as every published landrover workshop manual has it at between 38psi and 40 psi (new motor) at between 2000 and 2500rpm. It varies slightly between the various years for the different models, that is why I posted the range. It would appear strange that, as the low oil pressure switch has an activation range of between 6psi and 10psi (8psi nominal), you are suggesting that having the low oil pressure light on at idle is "normal". But as a "factory certified technician" you must be right and I will not worry if the oil light ever comes on.

If you want to look up the specs in the old fashion way, here are the links to the hardcopy manuals. Both state that operating range is between 30psi and 40psi. That is, 40psi new motor, below 30psi stuffed motor.
