My Rave CD(Discovery 4.0) says the oil pressure switch will initiate
From .22-Bar=3.19083-PSI
To .59-Bar=8.55722-PSI
So anything over 8.55722-PSI at idle would seem to be adequate.
Your after market gauge might not be calibrated correctly or your oil pressure switch is one of those switches that operated at the lower end of the scale. The .22-Bar=3.19083PSI before the Low Oil Pressure light comes on. weather this is good or bad Who knows.
