OK - problem solved... The culprit was not the window frame adjustment or weather stripping at all. It was the screws that hold the roof panel in place! The first 3 screws in the driver's door area had backed out and disappeared into the channel somewhere. The one left was finger tight. Got new #12 x 5/8 sheetmetal screws and lockwashers, tightened 'em all down and we're good to go.

DWN4WVR - you should check yours if you have the same issue. Pop the grommets off and use a SEM style phillips driver to see if yours are still there/tight. Good luck!
