Jones...I agree find a new mechanic. A RR is not your average SUV...and I'm NOT being snobby...It has some fairley complex and intertwined systems, and the removal of one little part from the system can and will have consequences. The RRC brake system is based on that electric pump, unlike say a Suburban that relies on a vaccum booster to
assist your pedal pressure. (BTW, have you tried to stop a Suburban when the booster goes?...not fun)
So you drive it without the pump, your still talking about 2.5 to 3 tons rolling at 60mph with crap for braking power...not something I'd willingly sign on to, let alone place my family and friends into.
