open the gate and check for the latch being loose, the bolts could have backed out.
also check the tailgate struts, the bolt that holds them in on the body may not have been secured under a recall and may have backed out completely. if that happens its a trip to the bodyshop.
those little bolts on the body where the strut connects too was supposed to have a bit of locktite applied to the threads under a recall that included updating five modules.
lastly look for stuff that is loose like trim.
