actually it goes by color on the springs.
I know no disco one you need new front springs. Not sure if you need new ones for a regular disco two.
I dont believe you do. last winch install didnt need different coils.
check with your local parts dept. If you own a 99-2003 its not a bad to install upgraded springs cause the front springs are known to break. I install them at least once a month.
