Normally I don't get involved in this stuff either but if true this is ridiculous. The Holocaust is history, fact, it really happened, what is there to argue? We're not talking about the interpretation of the Bible or the Koran here and whether one view offends another, this is historic fact.
The lessons learned from the Holocaust, regardless of the circumstances (who was involved) can be applied to any group and the consequences for not standing up to injustice and atrocity is clear.
Why would any Muslim want to have this piece of history and its lessons removed from the curriculum and what the youth can and should learn from it. Would they not want the world to stand up and stop such an event if it was happening to them? History has a funny way of repeating its self when you forget the past and I'm not sure anyone should want this forgotten because next time it just may be them.
The Jewish faith was the recipient of this particular event but this type of action is not just confined to one faith and I just can't for the life of me figure out why you would take this out of the schools?
I agree someone needs to stand up and say the only response that is appropriate "No, the Holocaust is a fact and we are going to teach it." End of discussion.
