For those who lives far from a dealer (some live 300-400 miles away), DIY oil change may be a good way to save alot of time... and money considering gas prices.

Anyone that lives 400 to 300 miles from a dealer isn't too bright. Sorry but remember your vehicle will break down and when it does you will have to drive it to the dealer. If you get it towed, they wont tow it back, you have to pick it up.

If you buy it new from the dealer knowing that you are going to be that distance away, you have only yourself to blame when it comes time to do anything. Sorry Napa wont have parts for a Rover and Joes garage in your neighborhood wont even be able to understand how they work, even work on them. Rovers are complicated especially the new ones. Stray to far from the dealer and you end up with more headaches and no help from the selling dealer.

Remember the gas you waste driving to the dealer in your vehicle will be multiplied by two if you decide to purchase any vehicle including a Land Rover each and every time you need service.
