Why are you worrying about recalls, they have nothing to do with the ability of a vehicle. If on the other hand you buy a Disco, you should have a dealer run it for recalls so that you will make sure they are all done.
Sound like you have little mechanical back ground and it would be wise to have a mechanic give it a good used truck inspection.
As for the price, what state do you live in, what sort of shjape is it in, what options are on it?????????????????????
