Possible ACE issue on a 99'?
Since I've bought my rover, its ACE has had issues. Mike helped me to lower the sound of the pump, so thats better; but now I've put two and two together, and i'm thinking this is also an ACE related issue.
My Disco II makes a sound at around 15-40 mph on good straight road, and rocks just noticeably when the sound happens.
I would compare the sound to that of when you are driving across a bridge, and your tires hit the metal expansion slots.
Its a very low pitch, a somewhat quiet and hollow sound. it just a "pffft" sound. it happens for no rime or reason, and i only notice it when driving slowly on really flat good pavement.
When the sound happens, the car has a tad bit of a rock to it as well. I would compare the rocking of the vehicle to when you get off the gas, and hit the gas again. that kind of clunk feeling
I'm thinking this might be the ACE because i believe, and i could be wrong, that the sound is coming from the front right.
When i drive, the car handles very well, and the body stays normal to the road, so i don't have any reason to believe it is malfunctioning.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please let me know.
