Series trucks and classics passed eachother several years ago, going in opposite directions. It would have to be a very good classic and a rough series to be approximately equal in value. If you're bored with the series, find a barn and store it, otherwise I think you may regret trading for some very short term comfort.
FWIW, I never saw a classic stop deteoriating when it reached a certain stage in it's life. They just get worse.
