I think this is a case where the all opinions expressed thus far are partially right to an extent. Rather, combined, they give a more accurate picture of the development of the Rover market in the US vs. England. As much as we want LR to stick to the original formula of a pure offroad vehicle, business is business and without operating capital, there is no LR. LR must do what it needs to do to stay afloat. Now that "Found On the Road Dead" owns the LR brand, one can only hope that an economical (meaning something we can afford) way to manufacture a decent offroad vehicle can be developed while maintaining the bottom line. Even though we might not like the phrase "bottom line," it is a reality.
