R u talking 840 or 850?

I've had both in the automatic version.

a 97 ( last year ) 850 ..a beast.. but not a car that likes to be driven slowly, in other words, if you are willing to be pulled over, then it is a great car. A tad rough iddle , understandable on a 12cyl ( not as bad as Lambos but rougher than SL600 )

a 95 840, this was a superb car, very nice for an all around car, fast, peppy, and easy as a DD.

Check for front end issues, very prominent on both models as well as the cooling system. Both of my cars has radiator issues ( fixed by warranty ), also check the AC/Heat quite expensive to fix.

Hope this helps you and Good Luck with your selection.
