Default Cooper Tires Not Recommended?

I have a 06 LR3 needing new rubber. I don't drive very far on a daily basis and the factory goodyears only lasted 23,000, needless to say I am pissed.

After researching and listening to all of your suggestions I decided on the Cooper Zeon LTZ 285/60R18. The Cooper website even has a promo for "The Great Continental Divide II". When I tried to order the tires thru discounttire.com, I was told Cooper Tires will not sell the tires because they are have issues with the maximum load capacity. When I searched the Cooper website they don't even offer that size any more. When I look at other tire options such as Nitto's, the specifications are showing the maximum load capacity is much lower than the LR3's curb weight.

Any suggestions or insight?
