Default Another Blinking Odometer

Hi guys

Had read the previous posts on what a blinking odometer means, but need a second opinion on my specific case.

Here is the story... bought the truck with the odometer blinking 60,000 miles. Thought that it meant it had 60,000 miles on it -- until I was enlightened by LRO forum a few weeks after purchase!!

Took to dealer for trouble shooting and asked that the mileage be corrected.

During the evaluation dealer discovered that both the ECU and BeCU had been swapped from a junked 2004 Disco with 4.6L. Mine is 2002 with 4.0L.

Dealer said that ECU and BeCU store the mileage. So, here is what I'm thinking.... My mileage is not 60k! 60k is for the 2004 disco that the ECU and BeCU were taken from.

Dealer said that the "T4" will update to the correct mileage? Where is it getting the mileage from if it stored in the control units? Just doesn't make sense -- is there another control unit that stores the mileage too?

All ideas welcome!!

Thanks
