ok, just to give an update for those who are learning (like me) I was almost convinced this tranny was dead. But as a last measure, I ran a can of Seafoam tranny juice in it and then changed the filter and added new tranny fluid.(let me just say the transmission filter was a bear to change, getting to it anyway, just go ahead and take the exhaust down and move the cross beam, you wont get it down unless you do! OMGosh!!) after this day-long event, i took it for a drive and the all the gears shifted soo nicely! until i shut it off and started it back up it stopped shifting again. The next morning i put another can of Seafoam and ran it a while and changed the fluid with no luck. Frustrated again i put two cans in and decided I was driving it to work no matter if it worked or not! after a couple miles it started shifting again, very smoothly! I decided to leave the Seafoam in for a couple days to make sure it cleaned up real good, this morning driving to work it started shifting hard so I am going to change the Tranny fluid when I get home this afternoon. I am really liking these ZF trannys!! Go LANDY's!!
