The Manual I have, which covers '93 NAS110, '94 NAS90 and '95 NAS90 (it also has suppliments for '97NAS90) is the Land Rover Publication LDAWMEN93US.

I have a few other, such as Haynes, but find the above manual better.
Land Rover Manuals are organized fairly well, and you don't find yourself jumping back and forth from chapter to chapter. They are weak (an understatement) in the electrics section. This takes alot of studying to figure out, primarily because the English break all the systems down rather than showing a whole-vehicle schematic. They do show a whole vehicle secmatic in the RR manula, so it's anybody's guess why they don't in the Defender manual.
Having the parts manual is also invaluable, as it shows the relationship of parts to other parts.
I don't have an Defender manuals on CD so I can't comment on their usability.
