I was more interested in the application of hybrid applied technologies to the Land Rover product line. In the past, most of the replies listed here were based on ignorance of applied hybrid technologies in large scale applications such as land locomotive and marine propulsion.
Now that the opportunity rears its head, LandRover has a opportunity here. Imagine a RangeRover Sport that was autobahn fast and fully off-road capabile. And to boot it can do 30 mpg. Now imagine your choice of any of the available models. Hmm.
The sad news is that design and implementation design cycles are sadly still based on 18 month cycles, so nothing new will happen until well past the current situation of events.
