
Thanks for that grooveshysta. I checked the throttlr arm it looked ok, definatley not twisted and then took the carbie apart again. It still didn;t work so I took it down to this carbie specialist. He reconned it was a mess inside. ( apparently I had a kit from a late model s3 instead of an early s3....bugger!

I wasn't aware there was a difference) but the main thing was that cylinder inside needed a good clean and honing out. I put it back on the yesterday it is now going as good as gold.
So now I back on the road with out the engine coughing and spluttering.
