There is place ( i need to look for the web link ) that makes fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods . and the carbon fiber hood is like $375 . Now If the cost of this new ( posibly little rusted ) hood is close to this . I would say go with fiberglas one . and get hood pins .
You will have a lighter front a little and rust problem would be solved .
Only thing is that I thing it would be good idea to get a group buy going . cause they most likely don't have a hood like that for sale yet .
But you need hood pins . Cause people that onw compact cars and that are dumb . get this hoods and don't use hood pins . then that hood smashes the windsheald and the sunroof ( if they have one ) cause it folds over the car like that . And that's from the latch coming off the hood ( basicly vibration will crack that thin fiberglass that glued to the steel ) .

Ok I found it , and the cheapest fiberglass hood is $215 or so . and that's the one that you need hood pins .
