So there you have it, the recipe to pissed off parents!

wow...I really feel bad for you...and I can totally relate. My parents are totally cool with everything, as long as I get good grades they dont care if I drive to rosevill for coffee at 2am......let alone go off-roading without telling. There have been plenty of times where they have called at midnight and I am up in the hills with some buddies trying to get around in the dark, and they say, "ok, just be safe

". On the other hand, I have friends that get in trouble for getting their car dirty, or even taking it off-road. There is one kid at our school that has a Jeep TJ with a 5.5" lift and about $5000 in goodies and after breaking a shock his parents wont let him off-road with it till he is 18 years old.....really sucks.....I think its nuts because IMO kids should have to take resposibility for thier actions....but have the freedom to mess up. My parents give me just enough rope to save myself or hang myself...and I do pretty good. If I break something on my rover, I have to pay for it, but I can break as much as I want.....if I rolled my rover, they wouldnt be mad, but rather sad for me.....(but then I would chop-top it).
Again that really sucks, but why exactly did you get grounded? I dont see the logic in it. Do your parents understand that that is part of off-roading, or was it the whole "you didnt ask/call us" thing? I am still lost when my friends say they arnt allowed (parents wise) to go off-roading......though, there is always a factor of matureness to be taken into account....some of the people I know would try to do things that were clearly unsafe and asking for trouble...such as off-roading in a blizzard at night time far up into the mountains (hehe....that got one of my friends grounded

)....or off-roading the day after his vehicle came back from the shop and them telling him "now dont go on trails for a while", and then he breaks what they just fixed (that got him grounded too

).
