I saw that post also and it is a hugh mistake to turn Rover rotors. Someone got the wrong end of the stick having this done, the alloy is too soft and the rotors are too this to turn.
When it is time for brakes, if you have a little metal left with no pulsation when stoping, use the rotors one more time with new pads and plan on replacing them on the next brake job somewhere down the road.
