MI.Disco1 To answer your question about 'binding & chirping'' front and rear axles, the answer is no. Provided your center differential is not buggered and you can unlock the 'locking' feature in that diff, it will not cause any problems. Let me point out however, the little lever and linkage in Discos that controls low/high range and locking/unlocking the diff can get all gummed up - then you'll have trouble. Take the time to check that it works smoothly on any truck you are considering. If you really keep everything clean and greased, it works very well. Permit me to write my standard warning to anyone wanting a older Disco: these trucks are not Toyotas, they need love and attention. In my opinion, Discos are wonderful, like nothing else on the road, but they are British UVs not appliance SUVs. Do you have someone who knows Discos to come with you when viewing a potential purchase?
