I also run the silverstars....but I have never had a problem of bulbs burning out. I replaced my working stock bulbs for the silverstars a year ago....ive done some crazy $h!t since then that should have damaged the bulbs if it was going to....so jolting/bumps arnt the problem.
The silverstars seemed brighter, but im not sure if it was because they actually were, or because they are whiter. The whiter the light, the better it reflects, and in turn the more light is spread. On the flip side, for that same reason, whiter light is worse in snow, fog, etc. conditions vs. more yellow/amber light.
