This is a simple proceedure.
Wish I had a picture but I don't today. Could get one tonight if necessary but here goes.
At the top of the engine is the plenum. Air idler valve is the term I'm familiar with. Anyway with the engine off, remove the electrical plug. With a big cresent (spanner) wrench carefully remove. It is plastic thus the reason for careful.
Once off you will notice the end is black. Get some carburator cleaner or similar produce and wipe clean. I then attempt with my pinky in the rag to clean inside the hole the plunger was in. Sometimes I have more success than other times.
You could use a big cotton swab if you have them.
After you are clean, reassemble.
Never start the car with the valve off of the vehicle. It is possible to shoot the plunger out of the valve and could damage you or something near by.
Good luck.
