Disco I stereo problem
Hello all:
This post may belong in a different section of the forum but since it is Disco I related only, I'd figured you guys could help best!
99 Disco I w/ 100K miles...owned 7 months now & now I have time for some fun w/ it. I even bought the Rave CD & printed it out into 2 3" binders (very cool).
The only area I'm a little "green" on is the stereo. Has factory tape deck which has crappy reception (bad FM booster I'm told) & whines/hisses at will w/ not much power (bad amp I'm told).
Questions:
Where is factory amp located?
How do you bypass factory amp so you can run connections from aftermarked CD deck speaker wires to speaker locations (or better yet, aftermarket amp & box!)?
Are the tweeters on the windshield posts run off same speaker wires as front door speakers?
All the Disco forum sites seem to have very little on this factory stereo & I'm confused.
