Jay, I can't say with any authority, but I just read somewhere (like withing the last few days) that the exhaust side mount is different, but that the other is the same as 2.25.
9" is pretty early, I would guess it's 9 1/2" at a minimum. Didn't the 2.5 NA &TD use a 10"?
