Don't worry about checking the fuel filter, if it has been more then 30,000 miles just change it. It is a pretty common size and can be found at most auto parts stores. The biggest problem with changing the filter is it is hard to loosen up the in and out lines, so give them a good soaking of WD40 or some other penetrating oil.
Those filters are know to plug up and cause hard starts or rough idles.

Doesnt have problems with starting, usually starts after a second. If I were to get the fuel filter replacement done by someone else, how much is that?
