I guess I can't complain, you gotta look at ten crappy rovers before you find 1 good one, at least thats the way it has always been for me. The frame was rotton in all the usual areas, and even some areas where rover frames never go bad, like the rear A frame crossmember. Even the frame rail itself was beyond repair. The motor sounded like it was on its last legs and wouldn't rev above idle and died mysteriously several times. The front control arm mounts on the chassis would've snapped off had I hit any big bumps and the wiring was very dodgy. (smoke coming from the steering column while it was running) I felt bad for the guy because he said it used to be in really nice condition and I don't doubt it because the body was in beautiful shape, he just didn't have time for it anymore. I guess it would be a good buy for a total resto but not what I was looking for. He lived near the ocean, and used it on the beach a lot so that helped kill the steel parts. Here's a few pics of the nasty spots

Sorry to hear it wasn't in good condition. Would you mind passing on the info if you are not interested in it? Thanks.
