In short, cruise control can be hooked up to any manual. They all hook up to the throttle body and hold a given presure to maintain speed. Unlike an automatic that can down shift based on throttle presure you will be limited to holding a constant speed in whatever gear you set the cruise control on, say 4th or 5 th. gear.
Works fine though, go for it.
