Just thought I´d let you know that there was a TV-show called "a 4x4 is born", where Mark Evans built a 100inch Defender, based on a Rangie...
I watched it on Discovery, but you can buy the DVD here

Even though I´m by no means technical by nature, I think this would be of use, because it was very detailed on the build, as well as being very entertaining!
