The more I learn about the two models, the more it appears the DII was a definite improvement. The cooling fans do not run all the time and burn out and if the MAF sensor goes out, you aren't stuck. I think the ignition is an improvement also from what I've read. Hmmm...I don't want to get rid of my D1, but maybe a DII to keep it company...
