If only that were true! In fact, the axles (shafts & CVs) on DIs & RRCs are among their weakest links -- 10 spline,,, the trails are littered with 'em. D2's aren't much better, the weak spot being CVs & hubs more so than the actual axle shafts. And this is open!... if you're locked the stock Rover axles on all models you mentioned are insufficiently strong and will twist, bang, boom if not upgraded.

The only Rover axle comparable to a Dana 60 is the Salisbury rear. These too will benefit from upgraded shafts when fully locked.
