This is my version of a 120K having worked as a service writer and manager for ever. At 120K, therer is a lot of wear and tear so I always use the better fluids, additives and parts if I want my truck to run like new.
Here are my Fluids,
20/50W Castrol Blend with a 3001 K&N oil filter, one pint of Lucas oil suppliment as a plus.
I lean tpwards a 85/140W gear opil for the diffs and t/case, synthetic if possible.
Vavoline synthetic fluid for the power steering along with one bottle of Lucas's Power steering additive
Vavolines synthetic power steering fluid, 3 pints.
1 bottle of a name brand engine flush to be used before changing the oil
3 bottles of SeaFoam to help clean up the gas, injectors and induction system
1 set of 8mm Megacor plug wires
1 box of Bosh Platiumn Plus 4 spark plugs
1 can of carb cleaner to clean out the t/body
1 can of brake cleaner
2 gallons of the correct coolant for your Rover's year and model
So now, start you service using upgraded parts and fluids, do all the usuall inspections. May need to replace belts, hoses tensioners or pulleys depending on how they look. Make sure you do the engine oil flush now and every other time you change you oil to help maintain the engine and your oil pressure. Once all is done, get back to me and I'll tell you wahat to do with the 3 cans of SeaFoam. Make sure to remove your lower radiator hose and flush the radiator out with a hose from the top.
You shoul consider replacing your O2 sensors even if you don't have a check engine light on, cause they are warn out and you are loosing power and gas mileages with them at their mileage.
