My Rangie has a 2 inch body lift and a 2 inch spring lift. You will see photos of mine under the off road section of the forum. A spring lift does not allow bigger tyres to be fitted unless you limit the upward travel of the diff. Only a body lift allows bigger tyres without affecting the axle travel. I go out with the "serious" off roaders and competition vehicles, NONE have any more than a 3 inch spring lift, ALL have at least a 2 inch body lift. The spring lift is only to centre the axle movement. That is, to allow the axle to move roughly the same distance up as down.
